Urban Fragments: Exhibition of Fine Art Photography by Anindo Ghosh
Jehangir Art Gallery - Hirji Hall, First Floor,
161-B, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kalaghoda Circle, Fort, Mumbai
Exhibition of Photography:
12th June to 18th June, 2012, from 11 am to 7 pm.
Anindo Ghosh, an ace Mumbai-based photographer, is exhibiting a selection of fine art photography on the theme “Urban Fragments”.
In rushing through life in the city, the eye glimpses a million images, and moves on without a second look. The camera, on the other hand, captures images for perpetuity: it offers an opportunity to look again, to see nuances missed the first time around, to perceive aspects and angles not seen, or simply not noticed by the naked eye.
In this exhibition, you will see images that demand a second look, images that provoke thought or excite perception: Fine art images expressing the artist’s distinctive style and vision, of glimpses every city dweller has seen at some time, but perhaps not noticed. Fragments of urban life not so abstract as to be unrecognizable, yet leaving enough out for the viewer to fill in the blanks.
